About this Session
As agentic AI systems increasingly act autonomously and adapt over time, they challenge established notions of control, responsibility, and design.
This talk explores the ethical, societal, and business risks that product and design teams must confront when working with and for agentic AI. From an ethics and sustainability perspective, it focuses on what often remains unseen: unintended consequences, missing signals, and outcomes that are not immediately visible in metrics or interfaces.
Guided by the question “What do I not see?”, the talk addresses issues of digital sovereignty as well as ecological, social, and economic impacts - ranging from environmental costs to long-term risks for products, brands, and organizations. Rather than rejecting, the goal is to outline what responsible, sustainable, and sovereign design and use actually requires, and how design need to act in a world beyond control to ensure accountability, foresight, and care.
