Gerhard lives and works as a designer and problem solver in Hamburg. His constant curiosity is directed toward people, their stories, and needs—especially in interaction with digital solutions and products. After working at various agencies, startups, and founding his own ventures, he followed the call of the e-commerce company OTTO 11 years ago, where he still serves as Creative Lead for App & User Experience.
In early 2023, he launched the podcast project Hoololio together with Zamina Ahmad, aiming to create visibility for people and initiatives committed to “Fair Tech/Fair Society.”
In 2025, he publishes his work journal “How to Solve Problems with Design”, giving everyone the opportunity to playfully train the most important AI skills: curiosity, creativity, and analytical thinking.
